The Golf des Iles Borromées course is well exposed to the sun, making it cool in summer and sunny in winter. Nestled in an enchanting landscape, the course offers an exceptional panorama that stretches from the Ticino plain over the Simplon and the Swiss Alps to the four pre-alpine lakes of Maggiore, Varese, Monate and Comabbio.
The "Des Iles" course is situated at an altitude of about 600 metres in the Alto Vergante, a plateau above Stresa and Lesa, and from its holes you can enjoy an exceptional panorama: From the green of hole 9, before returning to the clubhouse, you can enjoy the view of the Simplon and the Val Grande; from the tee of hole 18, on a clear day, you can see with the naked eye the skyline of Milan's skyscrapers and four lakes, Lake Maggiore, Varese, Monate and Comabbio, as well as the entire chain of the Ticino Alps.
The design of the holes is extremely varied and quite undulating, often forcing players to use defensive tactics.
