Lombardy between the Alps and the Po Valley is rich in attractions, Italy's most economically powerful region and home to great contrasts - from the fashion and design metropolis of Milan to the picturesque lake landscape of Como or the cultural city of Brescia, whose Città Alta towers as a fortress on a hill.
