The Grand Hotel Arenzano stands right on the Ligurian coast, just a few kilometers west of Genoa. This Belle-Époque villa from 1910 opens onto the sea with its bright façade and wide terraces, creating an atmosphere where time and the rush of daily life are left behind. The rooms are elegantly furnished in turn-of-the-century style, many with views over the deep blue Mediterranean and the hills of the hinterland that frame Arenzano like a natural backdrop. The day begins with breakfast on the veranda, and in the evening the hotel restaurant serves Ligurian cuisine centered on fresh fish, trofie al pesto and local Vermentino. The large garden with palms and Mediterranean plants reaches the seaside promenade, from where you can reach the historic center with its narrow alleys and small boutiques in a few minutes.

Arenzano itself is a quiet seaside town that has preserved its roots as a 19th-century spa resort, but in recent years it has also become a starting point for golfers along the Riviera di Ponente. Those who tee off here will find several excellent courses nearby. Just a ten-minute drive away lies Circolo Golf Genova Sant’Anna, a traditional 18-hole course nestled in the hills above Cogoleto. The fairways wind through pine forests and olive groves, and from many tee boxes the views stretch all the way to the coastline. Using a golf cart here is almost a must. For those who would like to enjoy a shorter round and play only 9 holes, we are happy to arrange a tee time at Golf Club Pineta di Arenzano, located less than 2 km from the hotel. Further east, about 45 minutes by car, is Golf Club Rapallo, one of Italy’s oldest tennis and golf clubs. Its fairways meander through the Ligurian countryside, featuring significant elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers that provide a rewarding challenge even for experienced golfers.
